ABOUT

Felipe A. Rondón is an academic administrator, music producer, arranger, orchestrator, and musical theatre practitioner based in New York. His work bridges higher education, contemporary music industries, and experiential learning, combining institutional leadership with active creative practice.

Currently serving as Co-Coordinator of the Department of Music at Five Towns College, Rondón oversees faculty coordination, curriculum development, and program initiatives while also serving as Music Director for the college’s musical theatre productions. His work emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration, professional rehearsal practices, and industry-aligned training designed to prepare students for contemporary careers in music and entertainment.

As a creative artist, Rondón has worked internationally as a music director, producer, arranger, and orchestrator across musical theatre, concert, and commercial music environments throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe. His professional experience includes collaborations with international production teams, theatrical development projects, and large-scale live performances.

 

He has also contributed to the development of new theatrical works, including the Lena Alive, a new musical written by the Broadway artist Syndee Winters.

Rondón is the recipient of the ASCAP/MPL Paul McCartney Arranging Competition First Prize and the ASCAP Foundation Leonard Bernstein Award. His artistic and educational work is rooted in the belief that contemporary music education should integrate creativity, entrepreneurship, collaboration, and real-world industry engagement.
